I did the Leicester Half Marathon on Sunday! Woo!
Results are here.
I thought it was a fairly flat route, although a few people were complaining about hills.
My time was 2hr34minutes. Which is not great, but far better than last :) It was a bit depressing being beaten by marathoners though...
Managed about 11 minute mile pace up to somewhere around mile 11, where I had a bit of a failure and walked for about 3/4 of a mile. Got running again for the finish line though :)
There was supposedly high5 at the drinks stations although I didn't spot any. Had some at the end. For future reference, it seemed to go down well...
It was my first exposure to the Queues For The Toilets. How people can take that long to pee I don't know...
Saw Mick'n'Phil - Marathon Lads at the start. They are both very impressive in an insane sort of way.
After the race I mostly went back to my hotel room and collapsed. My legs were killing me yesterday, bit better today.
Hotel was crap. The ibis hotels are usually alright, but this one was terrible. So near the train station that the recorded announcements and traffic were keeping me awake at night. And when I came back after my race desperate for a shower they'd taken all my towels away when they made up the room, and I had to go beg for more!
And everything felt slightly damp. And there were weird stains in the carpet.
In defiance of the recommended procedure, I went for having the huge pasta meal AFTER the race, rather than before, mainly because the hotel didn't serve anything with pasta and I was too tired to go exploring in a strange city.
Came back from Leicester Monday morning straight to work. Had to wait longer for my Northern Line train than I did turning up randomly at Leicester station and getting the first train to London.

113 minutes, 8.63 miles. Numbness from 20-40 minutes. Tried stretching and 5 minute walk warmup.
